The US-Cuba Democracy PAC holds its annual gala and fundraiser at the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida on Thursday, December 18 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. As part of the fundraiser I will be exhibiting my Afro-Cuban/Caribbean series, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the PAC.

The Step by Step Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization presents its Art Auction Gala. This year the Step By Step Foundation recruited more than 200 artists, celebrities and well-known personalities to participate in the most important project to date, the construction of an elementary school in Lahaie, Haiti called the Tipa Tipa school.

Now known as The Collector's Auction for the caliber of the artworks available for bid, The International Kids Fund (IKF) Latin American Art Auction 2008 attracts serious art aficionados each year. For this year's auction, more than 100 prominent artists have donated works, and the selection of art is more exciting than ever. The event, chaired by Rosy Cancela, benefits the International Kids Fund, a program of Jackson Memorial Foundation that pays for critical treatment, surgery and care for children with life threatening conditions. Invisible Children is a non-profit organization that helps the children of Northern Uganda. For the past four years, the children of Northern Uganda have been dealing with kidnapping, displacement, and the loss of their childhood due to a man named Joseph Kony. The money raised by Invisible Children goes to the children and families of Northern Uganda. Their programs help fund educational programs, scholarships, teachers and even jobs for the parents of the children.
